Petrol lawn scarifier is the ideal machine for removing moss and dead thatch from lawns and other turfed areas. Additional Information: The Petrol Lawn Scarifier is the perfect machine to be used in the Autumn and Spring months when the ground is not too soft and when the weather will not be too dry. The benefit of scarifying a lawn is that it allows air - water - and nutrients to reach the roots of the grass whilst removing unwanted dead and foreign material. The blades of the machine are designed to pass through grass only and are not designed to contact solid ground at any point during operation. Before scarifying can be carried out the grass must be cut short and be cleared of any objects such as stones or sticks that would damage the equipment or be picked up and thrown by the rotating blades. Do not use the Scarifier for cutting grass or slitting the ground. Do not scarify your lawn if there is a likelihood of high temperatures or drought. Do not operate the Scarifier on wet lawns or in rainy weather. Do not work the Scarifier on slopes of more than 20° and always work across the slope - not up and down it.
