The Prop Pal Needle System is a revolutionary new propping method which delivers on all fronts. Designed to do things a better way, designed to do things safely, designed to do things professionally. Used in conjunction with acrow props (builders’ props) this system provides adjustable, temporary support when working on brickwork, openings and structural walls while fitting lintels, RSJ’s or beams, or windows. Ensuring that your project stays structurally sound, eliminating the risk of wall collapse and other accidents.

Quick & easy installation

1. Needle is passed through hole (in wall) from inside to the outside with the swivel plate resting it can be positioned and fixed to the floor.
2. Builder’s prop is inserted and pinned at required location to allow the winding up. 
3. Prop and needle can be wound up to support the masonry. Unlike conventional and unsafe methods used in the building trade to date, the Prop Pal needle is designed so that a builder’s prop location into the needle is locked in position once it has been wound up. At the other end the swivel plate has 4 holes where it can be fixed to the floor boards securing it in position.

Prop Pals vs Strongboys: what’s the difference?

Both provide temporary support, but they work in different ways. Prop Pals are a more modern alternative, they are a steel needle system that slots through an aperture the size of a metric brick, allowing props to be positioned away from the wall. This frees up space, which is especially useful in a domestic extension or renovation where space is limited. Strongboys are less costly and ideal when access is not an issue, and the prop can be placed directly against the wall. They work by slotting into the top of an acrow prop and must be placed close to the wall which can cause an obstruction.
